Track every AD waitlist you've joined for a wishlist watch. Record dealer name, address, contact person, phone, email, and join date. Monitor how long you've been waiting and mark entries as Active, Received, or Cancelled with an end date.
When a watch moves from your wishlist to your collection, the full waitlist history travels with it. View it anytime from the watch detail page in your collection.
When moving a wishlist watch to your collection, select which AD provided the allocation and the date received. The waitlist entry is automatically marked as Received.
Watch and wishlist data now stored more efficiently, preventing slowdowns for users with large collections and many photos.
Fixed a calendar display issue and other minor improvements for a smoother experience.
WatchCurator's interface is built around four fundamental pillars, each serving a distinct purpose in your collection management workflow. This design philosophy ensures that every function has its proper place while maintaining seamless integration across all features.
The Wear tab serves as your daily interaction point with WatchCurator, featuring an elegant calendar interface that transforms the simple act of logging watch wear into an engaging ritual. When you open this tab, you're presented with a monthly calendar view that immediately shows your wearing patterns through subtle visual cues.
The Collect tab represents the heart of WatchCurator, where your timepieces are displayed in a sophisticated card-based layout that honors the visual appeal of luxury watches. Each watch card presents essential information at a glance while maintaining the elegant aesthetic that watch enthusiasts appreciate.
The Wish tab transforms wishlist management from a simple note-taking exercise into a sophisticated priority management system. Here, your desired timepieces are organized in a priority-ranked format that helps you make informed acquisition decisions.
The Analyze tab elevates WatchCurator from a simple cataloging tool to a comprehensive collection intelligence platform. The dashboard presents your collection data through carefully designed visualizations that provide meaningful insights into your collecting patterns, financial investments, and usage behaviors.
Proper watch documentation in WatchCurator goes far beyond simple data entry. The application recognizes that each timepiece in your collection represents a unique story, whether it's a milestone purchase, a cherished gift, or a carefully researched acquisition.
When adding a new watch to your collection, you begin with the fundamental identifiers: make and model. These required fields ensure that every watch in your collection has a clear identity, but they're just the starting point. The nickname field allows you to assign personal meaning to each timepiece.
WatchCurator recognizes that watches enter collections through different paths, each requiring different documentation approaches. The dual acquisition system accommodates both purchases and gifts, ensuring that every watch's origin story is properly preserved.
The photo management system in WatchCurator acknowledges that luxury watches are inherently visual objects that deserve proper photographic documentation. The multi-photo capability allows you to capture different aspects of each timepiece: the dial detail, case profile, movement view, and overall aesthetic.
Wear tracking in WatchCurator transcends simple record-keeping to become a tool for understanding your relationship with your collection. The calendar-based interface makes daily logging intuitive and engaging, but the real value emerges from the patterns that develop over time.
Consistent wear tracking reveals insights that surprise many collectors. You might discover that your most expensive watch isn't your most worn, or that certain watches correlate with specific activities or seasons. These insights help inform future acquisition decisions and can guide collection curation efforts.
Over time, your wear tracking data will reveal seasonal preferences and activity-based selection patterns. Summer months might show increased sports watch wear, while winter could favor dress watches with longer sleeves.
The wishlist functionality in WatchCurator transforms casual want lists into strategic acquisition planning tools. The priority ranking system encourages thoughtful consideration of each potential addition, moving beyond impulse desires to carefully considered collection development.
The estimated cost field serves multiple purposes beyond simple budget tracking. Recording target prices helps you recognize good deals when they appear and provides realistic expectations for acquisition timing.
The sharing functionality recognizes that watch acquisition often involves communication with dealers, family members, and fellow collectors. The professional formatting ensures that your shared wishlists maintain the sophistication expected in luxury watch transactions.
For highly sought-after references, joining an Authorized Dealer waitlist is often the only path to acquisition. WatchCurator's waitlist tracking feature lets you manage every AD relationship in one place, so you never lose track of where you stand or how long you've been waiting.
From any wishlist watch detail page, tap Join a Waitlist at the bottom of the screen. You can record the dealer name, full address, contact person, phone number, email, and the date you joined. Add notes for any additional context — such as a specific variant you requested or a conversation you had with the AD.
You can add multiple waitlist entries per watch — one for each AD you've registered with. Each entry tracks its own join date and days waiting independently, so you can see at a glance which relationship is oldest and which dealer is most likely to come through first.
When a waitlist entry resolves, update its outcome to Received or Cancelled and set an end date. The entry will then display the total time you waited from join to resolution. Active entries continue counting days in real time.
When you receive an allocation, use Move to My Collection from the watch detail page. You'll be prompted to select which AD came through and confirm the date received. The selected waitlist entry is automatically marked as Received, and the full waitlist history is preserved in your collection record.
Once a watch is in your collection, its waitlist history is visible in the watch detail view under Waitlist History. Each entry shows the dealer, location, outcome badge, and the date range from join to resolution — a permanent record of the journey to acquisition.
The analytics dashboard transforms your collection data into actionable insights that inform both daily wearing decisions and long-term collection strategy. The visualizations are designed to reveal patterns that might not be obvious from casual observation of your collection.
The financial analytics go beyond simple addition to provide meaningful insights into your collection's economic aspects. Total collection value provides insurance planning information, while average cost per watch helps establish budget parameters for future acquisitions.
The brand distribution analysis helps you understand your collection's composition and identify potential areas for diversification or consolidation. A collection heavily weighted toward a single manufacturer might benefit from exploring other brands.
WatchCurator's backup system recognizes that your collection data represents significant time investment and irreplaceable personal history. The comprehensive backup functionality ensures that every aspect of your collection documentation is preserved and can be restored completely.
The local storage architecture ensures that your collection data stays on your device by default, giving you complete control over your information. This approach provides direct data ownership while maintaining the flexibility to share or backup your data as you choose through standard iOS sharing mechanisms.
Professional-quality watch photography enhances both your personal enjoyment of your collection and its documentation value. Natural lighting provides the most accurate color representation, while consistent positioning creates visual harmony across your collection photos.
Effective collection curation requires honest assessment of your actual wearing patterns versus your acquisition intentions. The wear tracking data provides objective information about which watches truly earn their place in your collection through regular use.
Proactive service planning helps maintain your collection's reliability and value while avoiding emergency repairs that can be more expensive and time-consuming. The service due indicators help you plan maintenance schedules during convenient periods rather than waiting for problems to develop.
Most WatchCurator issues stem from device storage limitations or photo management challenges. The application is designed to handle large collections efficiently, but extremely high-resolution photos or very large collections may require occasional maintenance to maintain optimal performance.
When contacting support, providing detailed information about your device configuration, iOS version, and specific steps that led to the issue helps ensure rapid resolution. Screenshots or screen recordings can be particularly helpful for interface-related questions or problems.
